Terms of Service

1. What EvoScript is

EvoScript provides (a) a screenplay writing studio that runs in your browser, (b) an account that stores your screenplays so they open on any of your devices, and (c) an optional script registration service that records a dated digital fingerprint of a draft and issues a certificate. An account is required to write, so that your work is never tied to one browser.

2. Your work is yours

You keep every right to what you write. Using EvoScript transfers no rights in your screenplay to us. You are responsible for ensuring the work you write and register is your own.

3. What a registration is — and is not

• A registration is a dated record that a draft with a specific digital fingerprint existed at a specific time, registered under a specific name. It is supporting evidence.
• It is not a government copyright registration, and it is not legal advice. Copyright in your work exists automatically when you create it, independent of EvoScript.
• We do not guarantee any outcome in any dispute, negotiation, or proceeding. The weight given to a registration is decided by whoever examines it.
• We are a record-keeper, not an arbitrator: we do not judge authorship disputes.
• Records marked DEMO are test records stored only in your own browser and have no evidentiary value.

4. The registry is append-only

Registry entries are permanent and cannot be edited or deleted — by you or by us. This protects every writer who relies on the registry. Register only information you are content to have on record.

5. Accounts

Creating an account requires accepting these terms and the privacy policy — you confirm this at sign-in. Sign-in is by one-time email codes; you are responsible for access to your email account. You may delete your account and cloud projects at any time; registry entries persist per section 4.

6. Plans, fees and cancellation

EvoScript has a free plan (two screenplays and the writing studio) and a paid Pro subscription at ₹299 per month, which adds unlimited screenplays and the production tools (breakdown, shot division, scheduling and call sheets). Script registration costs ₹199 per registration; the first registration on an account is free. All prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period already paid for, and we do not refund part-months. A registration fee is not refundable once the registration has been issued, because the registry entry and certificate are created immediately and cannot be withdrawn (see section 4). If a payment is taken in error, or a registration fails to issue after payment, write to us and we will refund it in full.

Promotional access — including workshop and student grants — applies for the stated period and then reverts to the free plan. Reverting never deletes your screenplays: every project you already have stays in your account and stays open to you — while you are over the free plan's limit you simply cannot create new ones until you subscribe again or delete some.

We may change prices with notice on this page and by email; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.

7. Acceptable use

Do not register works you did not author or have no rights in, misrepresent authorship, attempt to tamper with the registry, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may refuse or suspend service for abuse; registry entries already made remain per section 4.

8. Service and liability

EvoScript is provided "as is." We work to keep the service available and the registry intact, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of opportunity in disputes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
